Go to Eurogamer and read the article: Sony “removed” PSN barriers for free-to-play MMO Dust 514.

This makes invalid your opinion, troll.

Continue with your arguments if you wish, fanboy. I’ll have no more of your ignorance.

  • WINxTEC says:

Yes, they can use their own servers, which Microsoft is based with a closed platform, not an accessible platform for many Devs when it comes to constant updates.

Get your fact straight and do a research about the game.

You don’t even know the differences about Crack and Hack, there are a big difference and purpose for ethical hacking.

How do you reply with such a massive ignorance, without knowing the basics about the game and how CCP works.

  • WINxTEC says:

You don’t know nothing about how this game being marketed.

  • GDxGeneralKael says:

    1. The servers they use are based on the publisher, not the platform. They can use their own servers if they wish, like most games.
    2. This is a limitation of options, it makes no corporate sense to limit your sources of revenue especially when their largest asset is a PC community.
    3. Cracked or hacked it makes no difference. The ability to do so makes their online network weak.

  • WINxTEC says:

    Get your facts straigth.

    1. DUST 514 was announced as a multiplatform game, it was canceled eventually for Xbox 360 because Xbox Live is a closed platform, it would monopolize the development for CCP in their servers.

    2. CCP already said they want to expand EVE Universe to another audience that is not PC already, D514 was planned for consoles only since the beginning.

    3. PSN was CRACKED once (Cracked ≠ Hacked), and the origin of that problem was with Geohot, there are no excuses now.

@vegito680 Because its ps3 only. I just dont think it’ll get noticed. I love ps3 but when ever I work i probably sell like 20 – 30 xbox games like a day. Ill be lucky if I sell 10 ps3 games in a month.

  • trentonx says:

This isn’t on psn idiot. It’s 100% in the eve servers.

  • TheMonkeyzking says:

Also, its not on PC, becuase they want to reach a new fanbase, and not seperate their own.

  • TheMonkeyzking says:

Axtually Microsoft accounts have been hacked for as long as its been around. My own account was hacked twice, because some assholes checked my achivements and guessed they wanted the downloadable content as well, The PSN Hack was one of a thousand in that month when hacking was rampant. Hell, even the CIA got hacked. By the way, at least Sony admit the psn was hacked, Microsoft never does. And Moneysoft, oh sorry Microsoft didnt allow the game to e put on Xbox because they either wanted extra co

  • GDxGeneralKael says:

They have a great game idea and they put it on a network with terrible security. It’s like putting a platinum saddle on a two-legged horse.

  • vegito680 says:

just wondering what does the PSN hack have to do with it losing potential?

  • vegito680 says:

how can it flop if its free to play? am i missing something here?

  • shortstuff173 says:

The reason the game is coming to ps3 only is because they didn’t want to cannibalize their own market on pc and Microsoft wouldn’t let them do what they wanted with the cross play into eve online

  • GDxGeneralKael says:

No harm, huh? Tell that to all the people who’s information was stolen. And comparatively, Xbox was never hacked. Once might as well be a thousand times.

  • WorldsBestRabbi says:

@GDxGeneralKael Yeah, its most likely probably going to flop for that. Oh well their loss.

  • WorldsBestRabbi says:

@ER2599 Pretty sure hundreds of peoples information was leaked during that hack.. Thats a pretty big harm.

  • Erick Romero says:

PS3 has only been hacked 1 recently that i know of and no harm was done and the game would do alot better in PS3 only then in Xbox because lets face it Xbox is doing pretty well with halo and gears of war
